BOOKING A SESSION
In order to get your desired time and date available, book your session as early as you can. My schedule is often booked 4 – 8 weeks in advance. I accept a very limited number of sessions per month so I have the time needed to perfect the quality of your images.
$250 retainer per session (maternity, newborn, baby or family) is payable at the time of booking in order to retain my service. This fee is non-refundable if you cancel your session. The balance is due at your session. This retainer is non-refundable and will be credited to the collection you choose.
WHEN TO SCHEDULE A SESSION
NEWBORN
Because babies rarely arrive on their due dates, it is best to book as far in advance so I can add your due date to my calendar and secure availability. Pre-booking also allows you to prepare for the session ahead of time, such as planning the set-ups, poses, wardrobes, etc., and communicating to me your overall vision for your session BEFORE your new bundle of joy arrives. When your baby arrives, please contact me as soon as possible so we can secure a date within three weeks of your baby’s birth. The exception—if you know your c-section or induction date the session date can be booked in advance. My calendar fills up quickly and I try my best to leave spaces open for last minute newborns.
BABY
Baby sessions can be scheduled at any time. 3 – 8 months of age is a great time for portraits because babies can support their head while on their tummy &/or sit up confidently and have so many adorable expressions.
MATERNITY
Maternity portraits are best taken between 28 – 36 weeks of pregnancy, when your belly is showing nicely and before you are feeling too uncomfortable to pose.
LOCATION
Your newborn session will take place in my home studio in Bothell, WA. Maternity, Baby and 1-Yr Celebration session may be in the studio and at an outdoor location for an additional $250 fee (fee covers travel and assistant costs).
WHAT HAPPENS AFTER THE SESSION
Your password protected gallery will be available within three – four weeks after our session. During peak season (e.g. Christmas), the turnaround time may vary by a week or so. I will send you an email with a direct link to your password-protected, online proofing and ordering gallery.
ONLINE PROOFING GALLERY AND ORDERING
Your gallery will include 30 – 40 professionally edited/enhanced/retouched photos from your session presented in a password-protected online gallery, available for viewing about three – four weeks after your session. Your gallery will remain online for one week so that you have time to review, make your selections and request for any minor retouchups. Once your order has been placed and payment made in full, your download link, flash drive and/or wall art will be available for shipping or pick-up within 3 – 5 weeks.
Note: Once the web gallery expires, there is a $25 fee to re-activate the web gallery for one week.
RESCHEDULING
Need to reschedule? Only one reschedule is permitted. Please be considerate and inform us at least 24 hours before your session.
METHODS OF PAYMENT
Cash, major credit cards and Paypal. Personal checks are not accepted.
REFUND POLICY
Digital collections are not refundable.
The studio takes utmost care with respect to the development, quality and delivery of images, prints and canvases. For prints and canvases, if the client is not satisfied with the quality or if the product is damaged upon receipt, return for replacement or refund.
