Professional-grade studio lighting in the studio; natural light and/or portable flash outdoors.

Yes, it’s safe! My studio lights are diffused so that the light is very soft, exactly like daytime natural light coming through white curtains. Your newborn is likely sleeping and posed in an angle that the light feathers her, not blinds her. If you still have concerns, I’m happy to accommodate and use continuous lights that do not flash (however, the quality of images will be minimally affected).

• • Maternity session – when you are 28 – 32 weeks.
  • Newborn session – when baby is 1 – 4 weeks old.
  • Baby session – when baby is over 3 months old.
  • Smash cake session – when baby is 11 – 13 months.
  • Family session – anytime, one hour before sunset during nice weather. Summer and Fall is peak season.

Please book in advance to secure the best dates. Pre-booking also allows you to prepare for the session ahead of time so you can plan your wardrobe, sets, and your overall vision for your session with me.

One re-schedule is permitted per session and your non-refundable retainer will transfer. Please be considerate and notify me of any changes to the date or time of the session no later than 48 hours prior to the session date.

If applicable, cancelled photography permit and reapplication of the new permit will be charged to your bill.

• Maternity, baby and family sessions are aproximately a little over an hour.
• Newborn session is 2.5 hours, up to 4 hours if your baby needs more time.

I do not photograph weddings, boudoir or on-location events (e.g. birthday parties, baptisms, etc.) at this present time.

Choose a color palette that you like and coordinate your outfits accordingly.

Yes! My client closet of maternity gowns are available for your complimentary use during your session. Most are stretchy one-size-fit-all (and if they don’t fit, we have safety pins!), so there is no worries about the fit.

For studio session, we can fit about three – four gowns. For outdoor sessions, because of the diminishing light during sunset and the time it takes to walk to various shooting spots, we are limited to maximum of two gowns.

Due to limited studio time, we do not recommend using up your photo session time to do last minute grooming and primping. Your outfits should come pressed and portrait-ready. Any additional retouching of clothing requested by the client in post production work will be billed at $75 per image.

Aside from your personal outfits, you are welcome to bring any props that you want to be photographed with. Here are some suggestions:

• • Work or sport uniforms
  • Accessories like scarves, jewelries, hat, headbands
  • Sentimental items like toys, trophies, baby ultrasound photo
  • Any setups that you want to use that is not available at my studio

Cash, major credit cards and Paypal. Personal checks are not accepted.

Due to the custom nature of this session and service, digital images are non-refundable.

Products – we take utmost care with respect to the development, quality and delivery of products. For prints and canvases, if you are not satisfied with the quality or if the product is damaged upon receipt, return for replacement or refund.

Your password protected gallery will be available in 3 – 4 weeks after our session. During peak season (e.g. Christmas), the turnaround time may vary by a week or so.

Your gallery will remain online for one month so you have time to view, share and download your high resolution images.

I’m happy to accommodate additional request for basic retouching (e.g. color correction, skin toning, spotting, blemishes) free of charge. Any major retouching (e.g changing color of outfits, taking out wrinkles/pet hair off clothing, slimming down bodies, etc) requested will be billed at $75 per image.

Technically yes, if your phone has the storage space. Be aware that these digital images are about 5 – 10MB each x 30 images…that’s a lot of bytes, and that may hamper your phone’s performance.

We recommend you download your images to your computer and save several copies on your hard drive, on external drives and on the cloud. Just in case.

Eden Bao Photography sells high resolution digital image files with reprint permission. These are high resolution digital image files that are fully retouched in JPG format. RAW and/or unedited files will not be released under any circumstances.

For the best results, please print with a professional lab with no color corrections.

Because print quality varies greatly from lab to lab, I do not guarantee the print quality from a print lab.
