Richmond Vancouver BC Newborn Twins Photographer | Ariana and Aliyah 9 weeks new

Do you know that most twins arrive between 32 – 37 weeks and 10% arrive before 32 weeks? These girls made an early appearance at 31 weeks and spent the next eight weeks in the NICU. For this family, life was pretty hectic, stressful and joyful at the same time.  By the time the girls came in for their session, they were nine weeks old which is considered mature for newborn photography.

I generally photograph my newborn clients no older than six weeks to ensure that they are still able to pose like the newborns that you see on my website. By this age, even though the twins were still physically small, they should have lost many newborn characteristics and be more alert and less likely to sleep through pose changes. I was expecting a challenging session but was very delighted how easy the session went. The babies performed like they were two weeks old and remained sleepy until the end. It was very apparent that the parents followed the newborn session guide and prepared their babies for their session. The results of their session are these beautiful images of their babies.

Welcome to the world, Ariana and Aliyah! You are beautiful!
