One of the great joys of being a Mercer Island Baby Photographer is having return clients. It’s nice to catch up on my maternity clients and watch them blossom from pregnancy to motherhood. I’m always amazed when I finally see who was hiding in that belly all along. Holly gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Suri. Holly originally did her maternity session on-location at Union Station in Seattle’s Pioneer Square. She was the first to photograph there and since then, it has been a client favourite.
For Suri’s session, we played it safe and stayed in the studio. Outdoor and on-location photoshoots have the benefit of being unique, but studio sessions have the benefit of being convenient. Everything from lighting, wardrobe, and the backdrop can be easily changed and controlled. And unlike on-location sessions, baby has easy access to the washroom for a quick clean up. (As a mother, I know too well how babies are good at getting themselves messy.)
Congratulations to Holly and her gorgeous family of four!
