Newborn Photography Mentoring | April 2015

Here’s another peek from our recent newborn photography mentoring class! Our newborn models in the order of appearance Hailey, 6 days new, Cassidy, 21 days new and Dante, 17 days new were awesome to work with!

To achieve the dogwood white blossom tree image, we photographed Hailey first, who was posed in the cheese cloth wrap and carefully suspended no more than two inches above a bean bag. The tree branch is a stock image that had been preshot years ago. The two images are then merged in Photoshop to make it appear that the baby is suspended in a sack tied to the branch.

We also focused on macro detail shots, transitioning between poses and parent-baby-family shots. It was a fun day of learning for all.
